It's Worth A Shot!

Dessert Shooters have to be one of the main desserts that I look forward to making, and also seeing by other dessert creators. It's a versatile creation that is elegant, fabulous, and limitless.

I came up with my own version of dessert shooters well over six years ago and they have always been a hit! I've always incorporated my no-bake cheesecake recipe in most of my shooters, however, I have played around with Banana Pudding, and cake flavors.

When I see Dessert Shooters now, on Social Media, or at events, I'm always in awe of how far these creations have come. These beauties add a certain sophistication to any dessert table and event.

As a baker, it's often difficult to find, a large quantity of glass shot glasses. I began using these from Party City:

They can also be found on Amazon, and I'm certain, with your local restaurant wholesaler. I also found the gold mini spoons on Amazon. Mini Spoons can also be found at your local Dollar Tree, and Kroger...but definitely purchase them ahead of time to ensure that you have them in time.

These sweets are great for holiday events, and you do not have to be an experienced baker to create them. All that you need are some cute containers, spoons, and a little bit of patience! One lesson that I've learned the hard way is to make sure these babies are secure when you're transporting them! Cupcake boxes with inserts is always a great idea.

The photo above includes our BAKED Cheesecake with Strawberries and Whipped Cream, in some cute glass shot glasses that I found for $4.00 at Belk. They are now $6.00, and still super cute.

Shot glasses tend to be expensive, so when I see a deal, I must indulge.

You can get creative with these sweets and add your favorite cookies, candies, gum paste flowers, and festive toppers. If you use these for cake flavors, or tarts, you can make layers (frost one layer, add cake, and so on). The possibilities are limitless and I love seeing bakers get creative with these.

Here's my No-Bake Cheesecake Recipe that I sometimes fill these with, with a piping bag (or you can use a zip lock bag), and I usually add Chess Cookies, Nilla Wafers, or Biscoff Cookies. If you follow me on Instagram, you will surely see some of my throwbacks of my past creations of these lovelies.

If you make these over the holidays for your customers, family, or friends, please tag us and let us know! They are definitely Worth A Shot!

Enjoy!

Crushed Graham Crackers or Cookies such as Nilla Wafers or Chess Cookies

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup heavy cream

Fruit or cookies for topping

1 small container of heavy cream

1 tablespoon of powered sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Beat whipped cream until fluffy

Instructions:

Fill individual glasses or bowls with the crust first

Make the filling:

In a large bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar, and whisk until completely smooth. (By all means, add sugar to taste if you prefer).

Add in vanilla.

Mix in heavy cream, and whisk or use electric mixer until soft.

Spoon in mixture into a piping bag or zip lock bag (pre-cut the bag slightly prior to inserting mixture).

Add toppings.
